Post Eternity's Deep Blue
<from: Market Street>

The water around her soothed the merfolk, Constance finally relaxing for the first time all day. Even in such a peaceful place, fears of capture, dehydration, or worse, were ever-present; it was only natural for her to yearn for familiarity. Slipping quietly away from the city she knew, her journey back home would take her several hours, but it was as easy as walking for one built for this sort of travel, if not easier. Hopefully it would be easy and without incident, but Constance had occasionally run into trouble along the way back to her home...

Post Re: Eternity's Deep Blue
*anyone wanna jump in the water with me? anyone? anyone?... T_T*

Constance swam deeper and deeper, inviting the water pressure to crush her but secretly praying it would not; even though it never had before, there was no intent within her to have it so. Still, she lavished the feeling, especially after a day so hot that it dried her skin out, even though the clothes she wore were created with her people's technology, and intertwined with their magic, to retain as much water as possible and still appear comfortable and light-weight. The water bit those dried places, which readily took that into itself, healing those areas and making her whole once more. Even as it grew colder, she playfully wove water magic around, heating the surrounding liquid to a more comforting warmth level.

At long last, she found her home, nestled in-between patches of seaweed and coral, created to look like nothing more than a heap of rock; another perfect blend of science and mysticism. Many merfolk created their own homes, though some employed others to do so... the lazy b***ards. Constance, like the one she referred to as her adopted "sister", believed in hard work and vigilance, that creating one's own items carried its own reward. She paused, searching for the entrance, and found it. A press upon a single piece of red coral, and a door slid open.

Once inside, Constance pushed forward, winding through a tunnel lined with traps she had set herself for about a minute before finding the true entrance she had been looking for. The water above cleared into a room, complete with a bed and several things, once more a mix of magic and mechanics and the like. One hand touched a panel of coral on the floor, she chanting quietly a few words; soon, blood-red water filled the coral, and the entrance slid shut, the bottom of her room sliding shut as well. Retreating to her bed, Constance placed her pack on a shelf off to one side, then let her body hit the mattress beneath her, calling forth a soft light out of one alcove as she drifted off into a nap for the time being...
